At Wilson Orr Opticians we pride ourselves in being able to provide quality eye care for all the family.

Without good eyesight a child's social and educational development can suffer, so a check up is advised early. This test is free and if glasses are required they are free too. A child's eyes are not fully developed until they are 8 years old; in our practice we are able to test children from a very early age. We have a large selection of frames for children in a wide variety of styles and colours - many free of charge!

We monitor all our patients, especially our older patients, for conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, and macular degeneration as well as underlying problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure. This is why an eye examination is also a health check to detect any underlying problems. The sooner conditions are detected the better the chance of successful treatment.

We remind all our patients via post that they are due for an eye examination so they have them at the correct intervals. We also encourage patients to get in touch straight away if they experience any problems with their vision.
